CARD #2126.169 – INVASION

From the Aethran War Dome, Aethra

Tonight we continue the march towards BETRAYAL and CIVIL WAR to determine new #1 Contenders for the GWF Championships. The Aethran crowd is not buying into any of this. There’s only one GLADIATOR scheduled to wrestle on the card and after two cards in a row with NO GLADIATORS in action, they can’t take much more. They are rabid that the AETHRAN OVERMASTER has ordered their attendance. They are in the type of mood to boo EVERYONE that comes through the entranceway and it doesn’t help that our first match is a women’s match!

MATCH #1
Scorn d. Deadliest via pinfall after Deadliest misses a falling knee drop from the top rope – *

The Aethran crowd boos the ladies out of the building and start throwing things towards the ring. Things don’t get any better when HAVOC makes his way to the ring with DARK MENACE for his BETRAYAL QUALIFYIER! HAVOC seems to be soaking in the boos. The crowd is throwing more stuff ringside when suddenly COMISSIONER OVERMASTER appears and warns the crowd that anyone who throws anything will be arrested as a political prisoner. This stops the objects being hurled but the crowd is NOT happy.

He then announces that as Commissioner he has to make a decision about which team, MILITARY POWERS or TITAN BLOOD, he will move forward into the CIVIL WAR tournament. He says that due to PAGANAX’s loyal service this year, he will move MILITARY POWERS into the tournament. This move brings out THE BETRAYER who is furious and tried to attack OVERMASTER. THE LEVELER stops him and tosses him into the rabid AETHRAN crowd where he is pummeled and repeatedly kicked in the head until he can drag himself back over the barrier. TRISTAN runs out to help BETRAYER to the back, but he looks badly hurt.

MATCH #2
Havoc d. Nitro via countout when he flattens him with a Gothic Tomb Spike outside the ring and Nitro is unable to make it back into the ring – *

The crowd is booing LOUDLY as HAVOC taunts them in the ring. DARK MENACE is looking around nervously and is pleading for HAVOC to leave the ring. Finally they do. The boos continue though as the next match is another ladies match.

MATCH #3
Sultana d. She-Devil via DQ when She Devil ignores the ref – *1/2

The Aethrans are all over this match. They start stomping loudly, which is the custom. THey break into huge cheers when COMMISSIONER OVERMASTER makes his way down to the ring for his BETRAYAL QUALIFIER. THE LEVELER is with him. He grabs the mic and says, he understands that the crowd wants blood. They want action and so far tonight and on the last two cards, there has been little of both. That ends now. He says he’s tired of all the disqualifications and countouts so from here on out, every match for the rest of the night will be contested under HARDCORE TITAN DEATH RULES.. They crowd cheers loudly for this.

MATCH #4
HARDCORE TITAN DEATH MATCH
Aethran Overmaster d. Tanck via pinfall after REIGN OF THE OVERMASTER – *

Basically a glorified squash match here. No offense from The Aethran crowd is cheering loudly for their leader. THE LEVELER get into the ring and holds up TANKC who is lifeless. Overmaster circles him and is about to hit him with a punch when GRYT comes down the ramp!

The CROWD begins booing loudly. OVERMASTER turns and lets out a growl and chases after GRYT. GRYT dashes around the ring, THE LEVELER joins the chase! GRYT slides through the ropes and helps a groggy TANCK to his feet. Bothe men bail as OVERMASTER and LEVELER reenter the ring! GRYT and TANCK are gone and OVERMASTER is FURIOUS!

MATCH #5
HARDCORE TITAN DEATH MATCH
FRONTLINE DEFENSE d. FIRE + FURY via pinfall when Tauran hits the VICTORY STAR DROP on Retribution – ****

The crowd was surprisingly into this match as it had a lot of action! After the match NOSFERA went nuts and began attacking RETRIBUTION! OMEN entered the ring with the torch, but tripped through the ropes and the torch tumbled to the concrete floor and went OUT! NOSFERA turned and saw OMEN and began attacking his manager! The crowd began cheering NOSFERA on. NOSFERA hit OMEN with DEMON’S BREATH and then turned and hit RETRIBUTION with it as well. He then turned and hopped out of the ring and hopped back off through the crowd! It would appear FIRE + FURY is officially done as a tag team.

Out next is GRYT! There is thunderous boos for his actions earlier in the evening. GRYT is looking around nervously. Word is he told ROTUNDA to stay in the back to keep her from harm. This will be his BETRAYAL QUALIFIER. SKWISH comes out with PLETHADOR and the two dance oblivious to the jeers from the crowd.

MATCH #6
HARDCORE TITAN DEATH MATCH
Plethador d. Gryt via submission with the SUCTION CLAW – ***1/2

The hatred for GRYT and his constant humiliation of the OVERMASTER over the past few months actually has the Aethrans on their feet CHEERING PLETHADOR! PLETHADOR and SKWISH don’t know what to make of this and the slowly leave. The realization sinks in as they exit, for the first time ever, PLETHADOR will be one of the ELETIE EIGHT who battle for the #1 CONTENDERSHIP for the GALAXIAN CHAMPIONSHIP at BETRAYAL!

OVERMASTER charges the ring and grabs GRYT and hits REIN OF THE OVERMASTER to the thunderous cheers of those in attendance. He grabs the mic and says that this is not over for, as Commissioner, he’s making a match between him and GRYT for when BETRAYAL and CIVIL WAR are over. It’ll be OVERMASTER and GRYT, one on one in a cosmic cage! The crowd cheers loudly!

MAIN EVENT
HARDCORE TITAN DEATH MATCH
Endgame makes a huge comeback after the interference of the GLADIATORS and pins Scimitar after the ULTIMA LEAP – *****

Obviously the goal here was to keep ENDGAME out of BETRAYAL, but the GLADIATORS just couldn’t do it. Even though they ALL interfered, including PARALYZE, ENDGAME was able to make an amazing comeback. He was loudly booed by the crowd as we…

CARD #2126.168 – SUPERNOVA: CHALLENGE

The final night of action in the Infinity Challenge for 2126! The War Dome is mostly empty as no Gladiators are on the card. A few only come to mock the wrestlers, no caring who wins or loses. The current Infinity Challenge scores are:

Abroz will need to go on a huge streak to make up for lost ground. In fact, he’ll need some convincing wins to ensure a victory.

FIRE + FURY via DQ when Nosfera again attacked a woman in the crowd – **1/2 – 1 point for Abroz – The gathered Aethrans just laughed as Nosfera attacked the woman but the woman actually began to fight back! Omen was able to get him away with the torch. Nosfera has seemingly become more and more irritable as of late.

Plethador d. Symbiosis via pin with an amazing cross body block – ** – 2 points for Abroz – The crowd booed Plethador loudly and began throwing things at him. Plethador soaked it all in as applause, but quickly left the arena.

So at the end of the 2126 INFINITY CHALLENGE, the final cores are:

Commissioner Overmaster has laid low since becoming Commissioner. His only action was to bring the GWF events home to Aethra where they will remain through BETRAYAL, the yearly tournament to determine who will face Paralyze for the Galaxian Championship at BIG BANG. Tonight a bunch of qualifying matches for Betrayal and also CIVIL WAR, the tag team equivalent.

CIVIL WAR QUALIFIER
LOOSE CANNONS d. DARK FUTURES via DQ when Tricks refuses to stop brawling with Swarm – ***

Coven Black d. Patch via DQ when the ref catches Patch with brass knuckles – **1/2

The Aethran crowd is getting restless with all the DQ’s!

MILITARY POWERS and TITAN BLOOD brawl to a DOUBLE DQ – **** – The crowd loved the violence but again booed the DQ. It’ll be interesting to see what Commissioner Overmaster does here with the DOUBLE DQ. Which team will move on to CIVIL WAR?

Kicking things of with some INFINITY CHALLENGE matches! These will all be contested under SURVIVAL RULES and not only will the winning teams get points for the wins, they will get two points for every survivor! ABROZ is currently winning the Infinity Challenge, leading Dialectus 58 to 46.

3. Overtime d. Nitro via pin with OVERTIME RULES – Overtime does it! Wins with no tags!

Swarm carefully attends to Payback. Payback looks like he might be injured. Swamr is in tears berating Anivar. Payback looks to have serious facial damage.

Scorn d. Mistress of Darkness with a bridging fallaway slam – ** – After the match Coven Black and HelSin get into it at ringside & Hector makes a match between them for later!

Up next, is PSI vs. Bishop Hell (II) in a TITAN DEATH EXILE MATCH! The loser will be exiled for 5 cards! Obviously Hector made this match to try and rid the GWF of PSI for awhile. PSI has vowed to send Bishop Hell packing!

BishopHell (II) d. PSI via pinfall after HELLFIRE – ***1/2 – PSI is now exiled for 5 cards! Hector is overjoyed to be rid of PSI for 5 cards!

Coven Black d. HelSin via pinfall after Bite of the Vampire – **1/2 – After the match Coven Black signaled to the back and PATCH ran to ringside. They deliver double deathjumps repeatedly on HelSin! Finally refs are able to break it up, but HelSin looks injured!

MATCH #8
ULTIMATE FIGHTERS d. GAMAMASTERS via countout when Clinch piledrives Thantos (II) on the arena floor – * 1/2 – This was short and proved nothing. These two teams will meet again.

MATCH #9
GWF WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
Strafe d. Phantasy via pinfall after a series of death jumps – **** – Strafe is the NEW GWF WOMEN’S CHAMPION!

Up next is an INTERPLANETARY CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH with Champion Hector, The Holy Brown Bear versus an opponent of his choosing. The crowd is waiting to see who he’s chosen and it’s…MANTIS!

Hector d. Mantis via pinfall after I KNOW YOUR SECRET – *** – Mantis puts up a good fight but Hector gets the win here. He gloats and the crowd lets him have it.

GALAXIAN TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
MILITARY POWERS and Rush & Turmoil battle to a DOUBLE DQ – ** – The titles stay with MILITARY POWERS but they didn’t win! The Gladiators have exploded brawling with Paganax and Tharkas! The refs rush out to break them up!

It’s now time for the HUGE main event! Paralyze© vs. Endgame for the GALAXIAN CHAMPIONSHIP! This is huge! Leveler is at ringside, staring ominously at Endgame. Endgame is probably wishing Monolith was there to second him.

Paralyze d. Endgame via pinfall after PERMANENTLY PARALYZED – ** – Paralyze dominates Endgame and retains his title! The GLADIATORS celebrate in the ring.

Suddenly Benjamin Paige comes out and says it’s time to select the new Commissioner! The computer screen flashes by the faces of the possible Commissioners and it lands on…

The crowd is stunned! Overmaster comes out and IMMEDIATELY orders a AETHRAN ULTIMATE ESCAPE MATCH for the Tag Titles! We have a bonus main event! MILITARY POWERS vs. GLADIATORS! Aethran Ultimate Escape Match for the Championship!

CARD #2126.164 – INVASION

From Andromeda Nebula Pavilion, Beta Andromedae

Show starts with Monolith and Endgame arguing over who faces Paralyze for the Galaxian Championship at SURVIVAL. Hector is out as Commissioner (and INTERPLANETARY CHAMPION) and agrees they are both top contenders and says he’ll make his choice after they face off against each other! He stipulates that they will go 1 on 1 in a barbed wire cosmic cage with the winner getting the title shot against Paralyze! Endgame & Monolith are furious as they’re teammates! Hector then announces the first match will be Tricks vs. The Guardian!

Endgame accompanies The Guardian and Oracle, of course accompanies Tricks. Tricks looks unsure. Oracle tells Tricks that he’s predicted that everything will turn out okay. The bell rings and we’re off!

MATCH #1
Tricks d. The Guardian with COULROPHOBIA! – **** – Oracle is estatic! Endgame is furious and chaces them Oracle and Tricks off, then helps Guardian to the back.

Gryt is out now with Rotunda! He demands Hector appear! Hector comes out and Gryt Says that he wants Overmaster once and for all and wants no interference at all.

GRYT: He’s ducking me. We battled to a double DQ and then he had Leveler interfere in our last match! I want no interference!

Hector agrees and says he’ll give Gryt a 1 on 1 with Overmaster in a Commissioner’s Choice match and he chooses a NIGHTMARE MATRIX match! Gryt’s happy. Hector also announces that tonight the GLADIATORS & the winless LOOSE CANNONS will also battle in the NIGHTMARE MATRIX! That’s later though! Up next is Strafe v. Mistress of Darkness! Leveler accompanies Strafe. Coven Black is w/ Mistress of Darkness.

MATCH #2
Strafe d. Mistress of Darkness by DQ when Coven Black socks Strafe – *** – After the bell, the ref has to pull Strafe off of Black! Leveler finally gets her off but Strafe is furious that he did.

Next up Hector has forced his nemesis, and former INTERPLANETARY CHAMPION, PSI to take on Bishop Hell (II)!

MATCH #3
Bishop Hell (II) d. PSI via DQ when PSI takes the action outside and clobbers Hell with a chair – DUD – PSI seems more focused than usual and determined to take out Hector or any of his friends.

Next out is Mantis. Swarm follows behind shaking his head. Swarm stops Mantis at ring steps and they argue. Finally Swarm nods. Shakes his son’s hand and then leaves as Mantis climbs into the ring.

MANTIS: I’m one of the best wrestlers in the GWF today but I never get a chance to show it! Tonight I will! Open challenge to anyone!

There’s a pause and suddenly from the back comes…TANCK! He’s grinning and pounding his fist in his hand! Here we go!

MATCH #4
Mantis d. Tanck via submission with RAPTORIAL GRASP! – ***** – Amazing match! Mantis is stoked! Swarm runs to congratulate him. Mantis chills out a bit and coldly accepts Swarms congatulations. The fans are into it though. Tanck is mad.

The Barbed Wire Cosmic Cage is being lowered! That means teammates Monolith and Endgame are up next. The fans boo Commissioner Hector as he makes his way to the ring saying he wants a good view of this one. It’s obvious that Hector’s just made this match to get in the good graces of the Aethrans. The winner get a title shot at SURVIVAL, but the winner will, no doubt, be softened up for Paralyze in this encounter.

BARBED WIRE COSMIC CAGE MATCH
Endgame d. Monolith via escape after injuring his leg with the ROLLING FIGURE FOUR – ***** – Monolith is injured for sure! Endgame tries to help him from the ring, but Monolith shoves him away. Determined to walk under his own power, but he can’t.

Medics come take Monolith away as the cage is removed and the NIGHTMARE MATRIX is set up! First MATRIX match will be Gryt vs. Overmaster. Rotunda gives Gryt a kiss before he steps in the ring. Overmaster comes to the ring and Rotunda offers him a kiss as well. Overmaster pushes past her into the MATRIX.

NIGHTMARE MATRIX MATCH
Gryt d. Overmaster with the STRONGMAN STRETCH! – ***1/2 – Gryt is going nuts! The crowd is going nuts! Rotunda fainted! Overmaster goes after Gryt, but Gryt scrams (leaving Rotunda)! The crowd is just insane!

Before main event, we cut back to the back where Monolith is being loaded into a MediCruiser. Hector is there gloating.

HECTOR: Guess you’ll be pretty mad at Endgame when you get back.

Monolith says nothing but glares at Hector.

DARK MENACE: He won’t be mad at Endgame. He’ll be mad at YOU!

Hector slinks away as Monolith is loaded up and we cut back down to ringside for the main event!

CARD #2126.162 – INVASION

FADE IN

Fans are jazzed for this evening’s event because of the mysterious wedding that’s been teased for weeks now and it’s also the first card with rotating Commissioner…HECTOR, THE HOLY BROWN BEAR!

HECTOR is out and says that he’s not going to waste any time. He wants to rid the GWF of PSI, so he says tonight he’ll do it one on one in a NIGHTMARE MATRIX match with the INTERPLANETARY CHAMPIONSHIP on the line! AMERICAN GUY is here and he says he wants a rematch with HECTOR from INFERNO. HECTOR tells him he’s previously occupied tonight but he can have it if he can beat PATCH!

MATCH #1
American Guy d. Patch via pinball after smashing his head on his grill – *1/2 – This one was pretty even, but AMERICAN GUY gets the win! He grabbed a mic and told HECOTR he’d be waiting for him!

Several attendants start moving out some wedding decorations. The fans cheer as they do. They’ll have to wait a bit longer though for this mystery wedding, because there’s suddenly a shimmery light in the middle of the ring and THE GUARDIAN appears. He calls out for ENDGAME to come to the ring and ENDGAME is here!

GUARDIAN tells ENDGAME that the universe is in grave danger and he is here to help him defend it. Suddenly ORACLE slipped out of the crowd with TRICKS right behind him. ORACLE began attacking THE GUARDIAN from behind and TRICKS slammed ENDGAME to the mat. TRICKS looked a little hesitant about all this but was following ORACLE’S lead. They continued the attack until HECTOR came out and said if they wanted to fight, they got a match! DARK FUTURES vs. THE GUARDIAN & ENDGAME! A ref headed to the ring as ORACLE and GUARDIAN fight and the bell rang!

MATCH #2
DARK FUTURES d THE GUARDIAN and ENDGAME via countout after ORACLE gave THE GUARDIAN a piledriver on the floor outside the ring and he couldn’t make it back into the ring – * – After getting the win, ORACLE and TRICKS left via the crowd as ENDGAME helped THE GUARDIAN to the back.

MATCH #3
Havoc d. Bishop Hell via countout after he brained him with a chair and Bishop Hell (II) was unable to get back in the ring – *1/2 – This was a brawl from the beginning. These two will, no doubt, meet again soon.

FRONTLINE DEFENSE came out and demanded another shot at THE GAMEMASTERS. HECTOR came out and told them they were out of luck as THEY were the ones that got DQ’d at INFERNO when the SLEEPER CELL interfered. But he told them that since he was a fair commissioner he’d give them another shot if they could beat a team of his choosing in a match of his choosing. TAURAN and ANIVAR agreed and HECTOR made the match: an MMA FIGHT MATCH against the ULTIMATE FIGHTERS! ANIVAR and TAURAN were furious as the ULTIMATE FIGHTERS are friends, but HECTOR reminded them they had to do it if they wanted to get the GAMEMASTERS again.

While the cage was set up for the MMA FIGHT MATCH, more wedding decorations were brought out.

MATCH #4
MMA FIGHT MATCH
ULTIMATE FIGHTERS d. FRONTLINE DEFENSE when Clinch sock Anivar with the UPPERCUT KO – **1/2 – FRONTLINE DEFENSE were no match for the ULTIMATE FIGHTERS, especially in this kind of contest. It even looked as if CLINCH and SHOOT went easy on them, being friends and all.

Now it was time for the big wedding! Some soft organ music played as some of the members of the locker room came out to the ringside area. The ANIMEN OF ANDROMEDA are here as are the TITANS! The FDF comes out as well, as does MANTIS. The organ music stops for a moment and SWARM and PAYBACK come out from the back in tuxes! The place goes nuts!

SWARM and PAYBACK are smiling and SWARM shakes his head and grabs a mic. He waits for the CROWD to settle down. He informs everyone that despite what they are thinking, it is NOT him and PAYBACK that are getting married. PAYBACK takes the mic and says the reason that it’s not them that are getting married is because they are already married!

The CROWD goes nuts! When they quiet down PAYBACK explains that they got married one Saturday last month in an private ceremony. He says there was just the Justice of the Peace and one witness present. SWARM adds they had some delicious food, some fantastic alcoholic beverages and a cozy weekend alone watching some gravity ball and GWF SuperCards. PAYBACK says it was the greatest wedding in the universe! The CROWD cheers again as SWARM and PAYBACK exchange a quick kiss and the gathered wrestlers come over to congratulate them.

Once things settle down again SWARM says the reason they are here tonight is because they are actually the BEST MEN for the person who is getting married! They all turn to the entranceway and out comes…

BENJAMIN PAIGE!

The CROWD cheers and BENJAMIN PAIGE is bright red. He bows and then steadies himself and the WEDDING MARCH plays and out comes his fiancé. She’s his high school sweetheart, Missy Perkins. The short ceremony goes off without a hitch and mere minutes later PAIGE is wed. He kisses his bride and everyone cheers and then takes the mic.

He thanks everyone for coming to his wedding and he announces that he’s is leaving his positing here with the GWF at the end of 2126. The CROWD boos but he says that he is ready to start his new life with his new wife. The CROWD cheers him loudly as he takes off waving with Missy. The other wrestlers follow after, last being SWARM and PAYBACK who are waving to fans. THey are about to exit when HECTOR comes through the entranceway.

He congratulates them on their nuptials and says that he has a gift for them to celebrate their wedding and their return from exile at the hands of THE GAMEMASTERS. He says the RUSH and TURMOIL came to him demanding another title shot against MILITARY POWERS after INFERNO. He said he’d grant it, but they’d have to beat a team first. And that team is LOOSE CANNONS! So it’s RUSH & TURMOIL vs. LOOSE CANNONS tonight!

MATCH #5
TITAN DEATH RULES
GRYT and AETHRAN OVERMASTER battle to a NO CONTEST – *** – This was a great match. OVERMASTER had GRYT close to beat several times but GRYT kept kicking out! Then GRYT was able to trap OVERMASTER in the STRONGMAN STRETCH and showed no signs of letting go! Suddenly THE LEVELER blindsided ROTUNDA and stormed the ring and began beating on GRYT. OVERMASTER soon recovered and joined in. The two continued to beat on him until he laid motionless in the ring. Laughing, OVERMASTER and THE LEVER just left the ringside area. The ref had no choice but to declare a no contest. GRYT was taken from the ring via stretcher.

MATCH #6
RUSH & TURMOIL d. LOOSE CANNONS via DQ when Payback was DQ’d for attempting a pin save – ***** – LOOSE CANNONS looked even better than they did when they were exiled, but their losing streak continues here, leaving them still winless for 2126. RUSH & TURMOIL get the win, but there was no word on if this would satisfy HECTOR’S requirements for a rematch with MILITARY POWERS.

CARD #2126.161 – SUPERNOVA: CHALLENGE

It’s another night of INFINITY CHALLENGE action, tonight featuring the first meeting between ANIMEN OF ANDROMEDA and FDF CHALLENGE! ABROZ still leads DIALECTUS 49-27, but DIALECTUS has been seen running his team through extra training and is hoping to make up ground tonight. Up first is DARK CARNIVAL taking on the TITANS.

MATCH #1
Mother Superior d. Rotunda via DQ when GRYT was caught trying to break up a pinfall – * – Mother Superior gets one point for DIALECTUS’ team. Not the start their team wanted, but they’ll take the point.

MATCH #2
DARK FUTURES d. TITAN BLOOD via count out when Oracle dodged a charge by Tristan and the Titan sailed through the ropes and crashed to the arena floor below – DUD – DARK FUTURES takes a point for ABROZ for this count out win.

MATCH #3
Gryt d. Overtime via submission with the STRONGMAN STRETCH – ***1/2 – GRYT continues to dominate the INFINITY CHALLENGE scoring two points for ABROZ.

At the end of this series, DARK CARNIVAL beats the TITANS 3-1. DIALECTUS is furious with his team. He’s giving a huge pep talk to FDF CHALLENGE who now go against the ANIMEN OF ANDROMEDA.

MATCH #4
Phantasy d. Shann-Ra via pinfall after Shann-Ra missed a falling knee from the turnbuckle – ** – WOMEN’S CHAMPION PHANTASY picks up two, sorely needed points for DIALECTUS.

MATCH #5
LEADERS OF THE PACK d. FREEDOM via pinball when Malkith covers U.S. Male after the ANDROMEDA DROP – ** – PANTHER WARRIOR and MALKUTH get two points for ABROZ, evening things up.

MAIN EVENT
Vidtek d. Plethador via pinfall after a powerslam – **1/2 – PLETHADOR was close to victory a few times, even cinching in the SUCTION CLAW for several minutes, but in the end VIDTEK gets the win and score two more points for DIALECTUS.

DIALECTUS celebrates a much needed win as FDF CHALLENGE beats ANIMEN ON ANDROMEDA 4-2.

After tonight’s action ABROZ still leads but the gap is not as wide as before. ABROZ has 56. DIALECTUS has 37. Definitely not optimal for DIALECTUS, but at least things are heading in the right direction.
